The Project Engineer position at EBI Consulting is a full-time role focused on conducting due diligence services as part of our nationally recognized practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing field assessments of various commercial property types, including multifamily residential, retail, office, self-storage, manufacturing, industrial, hospitality, healthcare, and warehouse/distribution facilities. This role also involves conducting interviews and independent research of local, state, and federal resources. Reporting responsibilities include Property Condition Assessments (PCAs) to ASTM E2018 standards, Property Needs Assessments (PNAs), Property Assessment Screening services, and Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) to ASTM E1527 standards, along with other associated reports tailored to specific client scopes of work. The assessment reporting will evaluate the current condition of significant building and site components, such as roofs, facades, and HVAC systems, while also assessing the effective useful life of key components and determining the need and timing for replacement or repair. This position reports directly to the Associate Area Operations Manager and is fully remote, allowing for a work-from-home setup. However, the majority of clients supported by this position will be located in or around Harrisburg, PA, so candidates must already be established in this market. This is a field-based position, with an expected travel requirement of up to 50% for local and regional assignments. Candidates must have prior experience with travel and be comfortable with this model to be considered for the role.
