About The Position

Weston & Sampson is currently looking for a Project Engineer within our Water/Wastewater group with 4-6 years of experience to work in our Greenville, SC office. The role involves preparing water utility designs including preparation of plans and specifications for permitting and construction for water distribution and wastewater collection projects, such as water mains, gravity sewers, wastewater pump stations, and storage tanks. The Project Engineer will perform hydraulic modeling to assist in water and wastewater planning and design efforts, assist in preparing water and wastewater master planning studies, and assist in construction administration of water distribution and wastewater collection system projects. The position offers a flexible workload, diverse project files, and requires working well with multiple staff members including delegating work to entry level staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Civil/Environmental Engineering.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, REVIT (preferred).
• PE is preferred or ability to become licensed within twelve (12) months.
• Strong writing and verbal communications skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong work ethic.
• A positive attitude and willingness to continue learning.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Preparing water utility designs including plans and specifications for permitting and construction for water distribution and wastewater collection projects.
• Performing hydraulic modeling to assist in water and wastewater planning and design efforts.
• Assisting in preparing water and wastewater master planning studies.
• Assisting in construction administration of water distribution and wastewater collection system projects.
• Managing multiple projects and clients along with technical, budgetary, and client aspects of projects.
• Delegating work to entry level staff.
