This role will offer you the following daily challenges: Join us as a Project Engineer, Sr. Staff for the FBM Tactical Avionics Team where you will be involved in planning and executing avionics work scope and program execution. Key activities you will accomplish in this role: Ownership of PM Office budget as the Control Account Manager (CAM). Management of both LOE and Discrete tasks (for directorate-level milestones conduct). Directorate-level staffing/seating coordination and EVM analysis. Business rhythm management and conduct. This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility one of the Coolest places to work: Denver, Colorado .

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years professional experience, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Prior project management experience and Control Account Management (CAM) experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance; thus a US Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a engineering field or technical discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope.
  • Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very sophisticated problems and implement constructive change.
  • Basic understanding of project management principals (Cost/Schedule/Technical).
  • Knowledge of program lifecycle and how early achievements may drive future costs.
  • Experience using JIRA or Version 1 or similar tools for project planning and tracking.
  • Experience throughout engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test and operational deployment).
  • Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering.
  • Experience in Business Rhythm creation and management experience.
