CobbFendley is seeking an experienced Utility Coordination Project Engineer in our Austin, Texas office.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of professional experience, EIT may be required.
  • Knowledge of standard engineering and scientific techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks.
  • Familiarity with CobbFendley’s QA/QC Management System.
  • Skills including use of industry-standard computer software for the position (i.e., software such as CADD, HCS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, and Hydrologic/Hydraulic models).
  • Ability to use spreadsheets, word processing, and standard office software.

Responsibilities

  • Complete simple design and analysis tasks using determined software and criteria, under the direction of a Professional Engineer.
  • Utilize Company QA/QC processes and procedures to review tasks and documents.
  • Work with supervisor, project manager, mentors, and various internal personnel to complete assignments within discipline and limited other disciplines.
  • Utilize formal education and practical experience in assignments.
  • Work with internal clients daily and escalate concerns when needed.
  • Assist the Project Manager in all aspects of various utility-based projects.
  • Prepare utility relocation schedule and tracks project deliverables.
  • Set up and maintain electronic files for received utility records.
  • Assist in interpreting various Subsurface Utility Engineering quality level data in order to analyze utility conflicts and develop concept plan.
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates.
  • Assist in maintaining client exhibits (KMZ & GIS) which define project scope of work.
  • Assist in reviewing design drawings (QA/QC).
  • Assist in reviewing permit drawings (QA/QC).
  • Assist in updating internal and client project trackers.
  • Prepare utility progress reports.
