Requirements

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required.
4+ years of transportation/traffic engineering experience required.
PE license in AZ, or through reciprocity, is also required.
Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation and other related software packages.
Demonstrate advanced, general and basic non-routine knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, principles and practices.
Demonstrate advanced technical and nontechnical writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Responsibilities

Apply broad knowledge of principles and practices in a specific area.
Independently evaluate, select and adapt standard techniques, procedures and criteria.
Design complete projects, systems, components or processes.
Prepare advanced general and basic non-routine engineering designs and/or technical data for completion and accuracy.
Prepare complete project documents.
Analyze and interpret data, formulate and solve problems.
Prepare scopes of work, budgets and schedule assignments.
Assist with proposal development for professional services.
Provide direction to engineers, technicians and administrative staff.
Plan and coordinate detailed aspects of engineering work.
Attend meetings and present specific components of assignments.
Work within AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation to complete projects within established budgets and deadlines.
Perform field investigations/ site visits as needed.
