About The Position

You will be the Project Engineer Staff, UAS & Attritable Systems - Level 4 for the Advanced Development Programs – UAS & Attritable Systems team which is responsible for developing next‑generation unmanned aircraft and attritable systems that keep people safe and solve complex challenges. As the Project Engineer Staff, UAS & Attritable Systems - Level 4 you will be responsible for driving the technical execution of UAS and attritable system projects from concept through test. Requirements

  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Experience releasing drawings in Catia V5 and/or 3DX
  • Experience with 3D printing.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience as a lead designer for structures or vehicle systems.
  • Experience working with the Conceptual Design organization.
  • Experience in Flight Test.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, formulate, and coordinate technical activities across program management and engineering to create novel air‑vehicle designs.
  • Collaborate with multiple business units and stakeholder organizations to define and execute UAS development roadmaps.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve design and test challenges to maintain schedule and performance targets.
  • Document technical decisions, maintain configuration control, and communicate status to senior leadership.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in systems engineering.
