The ideal candidate for the Project Engineer Senior position is a multifaceted professional with a strong foundation in engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities. They should also demonstrate strong leadership and collaboration skills, be adaptable and flexible, and possess a strong sense of professionalism and integrity. Additionally, they should align with the company's values and culture and be able to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines. In this role will offer you the following daily key responsibilities:

Requirements

  • Prior technical project leadership experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to coordinate and run meetings.
  • You will need to be a US Citizen with ability to obtain US DoD TOP SECRET and US DOE Q Clearance, to support this government contract.
  • Ability to be onsite full time and ability to travel for government partner meetings
  • Prior experience with technical project coordination and ownership

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's &/or Master’s degree in Engineering and 5-10 years of related professional work experience
  • Prior experience as an LM Space CPE and/or RSE
  • Prior project management experience and Control Account Management (CAM) experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope.
  • Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very sophisticated problems and implement constructive change.
  • Experience in project management principles (Cost/Schedule/Technical).
  • Knowledge of program lifecycle and how early achievements may drive future costs.
  • Experience using JIRA or Version 1 or similar tools for project planning and tracking.
  • Experience throughout engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test and operational deployment).
  • Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience in Business Rhythm creation.
  • Demonstrated experience presentation abilities.
  • Demonstrated experience organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing, and presentations
  • Understanding stakeholder needs and defining appropriate solutions
  • Leadership experience.
  • Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program experience
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance

Responsibilities

  • Planning and formulating Project Management Baselines for new projects
  • Potential Responsibility for active Control Account Management (CAM) and Earn Value Management (EVM)
  • Ensuring compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer and supplier contract requirements, and related specifications
  • Coordinating activities concerned with technical development, scheduling of product installation, and resolving engineering design and test problems
