About The Position

As a Senior Project Engineer for the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Weapons System Infrastructure & Capabilities (WSIC) team at Lockheed Martin, you will lead the activation of various MilCon and Strategic Projects to support missile development and sustainment. This role involves managing the execution process to ensure program success, facilitating communication across teams, and driving project execution while overcoming technical challenges. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the future readiness and expansion of FBM D5 missile capabilities, contributing to national security.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Project Management, Construction Management, Systems Engineering, facility activation, or other relevant technical project roles.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Proven ability to contribute to and execute technical projects throughout different phases of the project lifecycle.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
• Proven and demonstrated leadership, organizational coordination, and communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in briefing and interfacing with senior-level management and customers.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar experience preferred.
• Experience with leading multi-disciplined Integrated Project Teams (IPTs).
• Familiarity with the MILCON process.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of MilCon and Strategic Projects across multiple program sites, ensuring alignment with project schedules and goals.
• Facilitate effective communication across inter-organizational teams, government entities, end users, and outside customers to ensure alignment and timely completion of project objectives.
• Drive project execution following established procedures, schedules, and work plans, while adapting to project needs to overcome barriers such as resource constraints and technical challenges.
• Coordinate the oversight, integration, and successful completion of activation projects, managing key phases and deliverables while ensuring alignment with program objectives.
• Ensure project requirements are effectively integrated into the design by collaborating with stakeholders and assessing the overall impact on project cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
• Brief senior leaders, stakeholders, and other key partners on project status and progress, ensuring clear communication of milestones and challenges.
