About The Position

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Project Engineer to join the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) Platform Integration Integrated Product Team (IPT). In this role you will join a growing team responsible for integrating the CPS Weapon System onto US Navy surface and subsurface platforms. This position is responsible for project management support to the integration of the CPS hypersonic weapon system onto Virginia-class submarines, a critical national security priority. As the Platform Integration Senior Project Engineer, you will: Support the Submarine Platform Integration Lead on the CPS Platform Integration IPT. This is a critical integration position working across the Lockheed-led industry team and working with multiple US Navy stakeholders. Engage with US Navy Strategic Systems Program (SSP) customers to manage schedule relationships between Lockheed Martin and government national team partners. Work with all Lockheed Martin CPS program elements to maintain complex integrated schedules leading to CPS weapon system fielding on US Navy submarines. Coordinate hardware and software delivery dependencies between Lockheed Martin and government organizations integrating CPS on US Navy submarines. Coordinate inter-team dependencies and drive transparency across program elements, anticipating obstacles to performance. Lockheed Martin is an equal opportunity employer. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years previous professional experience in an engineering or technology development environment or applicable experience
  • Experience developing or updating activities in a complex delivery schedule.
  • U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret level clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) processes and procedures.
  • Experience with project management and integrated schedule development.
  • Familiarity with US Navy submarine weapon system development or integration.
  • Five or more (5+) years of professional experience in project management.
