This is a rare opportunity to work closely alongside our Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) partners to field a number of future strategic systems that the nation urgently needs. In this role your duties will include leading, planning, and managing budgetary planning estimates and Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) acquisition activities as the TSWS Mission Area ROM lead, reporting through Zumwalt Program Controls and Acquisitions in the Zumwalt Program Management Office (PMO). As a valued member of our team, you will: Be responsible for managing incoming customer requests to complete ROM estimation activities. These efforts directly tie to future budget allocation and contracting actions. Act as representative to internal senior program leadership on ROM status, prioritization, and challenges Interface with customer counterparts on ROM scope, timing, status, and contract objectives Support strategic planning activities, including annual customer conferences related to fiscal year funding and scope planning for technical instructions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (engineering field or technical discipline preferred) or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Prior proposal, cost modeling, or long range project planning experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen and be willing and able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance after starting

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with proposal development tools and best practices such as Basis of Estimates (BOEs), Material Cost Estimating (MCE), Executive Planning Panel (EPP) presentations, Contract & FAR limitations
  • Current employee on LM CPS WSI or Zumwalt program
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills with experience directly interfacing with senior leadership and/or customers
  • Experience in project management principals (Cost/Schedule/Technical).
  • Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to evaluate cost, schedule, and technical scope.
  • Excellent presentation abilities (creation and delivery)
  • Excellent organizational skills
