This Position reports to: Engineering Manager Acts as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments classified as medium engineering complexity. Ensures that the activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner, in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. The work model for the role is: Onsite This role is contributing to the Service Robotics team in Auburn Hills, MI.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably in Robotics or Mechatronics.
  • 5+ years of experience in robotics and project execution.
  • You are highly skilled in robotics, programming, and design software, with a strong desire to contribute to the health and life sciences market.
  • You possess advanced knowledge of robot programming, automation safety standards, and a solid understanding of the mechanical and electrical aspects of robotic application cells.
  • You are passionate about innovation and committed to delivering excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating on project installation, commissioning, and site activities, to clarify potential issues or provide solutions to rectify the engineering errors.
  • Coaching the project engineers and designers on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, including modelling, prototyping, and calculations.
  • Leading, supervising, and coordinating teams (less than 10 members) in all engineering disciplines (both in-house and outsourced) on projects.
  • Applying design thinking or design for excellence concepts in projects, including modelling, prototyping, simulation, and calculations.
