As a Project Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of a multidisciplinary design team supporting a range of municipal and public-sector projects—from roadway and drainage to water, wastewater, and parks infrastructure. Requirements

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and a solid understanding of design fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, communicate effectively, and drive deadlines independently.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and a proactive approach to collaboration.
  • Progressive experience in public infrastructure design
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in public infrastructure design (municipal, roadway, drainage, water, and wastewater).
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) required; Texas PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 2 years.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key technical contributor on public infrastructure design projects under the direction of Project Managers.
  • Develop detailed civil construction drawings and plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D .
  • Prepare calculations, cost estimates, and specifications for roadway, drainage, water, and sewer improvements.
  • Coordinate with municipalities, agencies, utilities, and subconsultants to ensure project success.
  • Oversee technical aspects of projects including QA/QC, design standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support construction administration tasks, including bid assistance, RFI responses, and field coordination.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of technical excellence and accountability.
  • Contribute to schedule and budget management by proactively identifying challenges and solutions.
