Learn about the Trident II D5 Fleet Ballistic Missile As a Project Engineer, you will: Serve as a Junior Project lead by planning technical work scope, actively managing budget, schedule, and execution. Ensure control accounts are completed with acceptable Cost, Schedule, and Risk to meet sales and revenue goals by communicating and providing leadership and customers with accurate and up to date status Manage a geographically distributed multi-disciplinary team to deliver on established programmatic commitments. Coordinate the planning, organizing, control, integration and completion of Engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility Ensure engineering is coordinated across program and suppliers Support ad hoc tasking by program management leaders

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles
  • Familiarity with engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test and operational deployment)
  • Systems thinking, technical management, or technical integration experience
  • Experience with Risk and Opportunity Management
  • IMS (Integrated Master Schedule) development or management of
  • Prior CAM (control account management) experience
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, with the ability to lead multi-functional teams, build strong relationships with team members and build consensus among peers
  • Familiarity with U.S. Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) Customer
  • Knowledge of project management principles - how to integrate cost, schedule, and technical elements to drive execution
  • Demonstrated ability to work with project team members to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
