About The Position

Join ENERCON as a Project Engineer supporting mechanical projects for our Nuclear Services Group. Your role will involve developing winning engineering proposals with technical staff, executing projects within budget and schedule constraints, and maintaining robust client relationships. With your proven management skills, you'll oversee project schedules, financials, and reporting while actively supporting marketing endeavors to propel business growth. This role can sit out of any of our nuclear office locations, including but not limited to: Kennesaw, GA (Suburb of Atlanta), Overland Park, KS, Birmingham, AL, Naperville, IL. Remote will be considered for candidates with 10+ years in nuclear design.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years' experience in the nuclear, power, or industrial industries as an Engineer or Project Manager.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Nuclear or Chemical Engineering (or related) OR PMP Certification and 10 years' applicable experience.
  • Design Engineering experience with the modification and implementation process, calculations, specifications, etc. in power facilities.
  • Ability to understand and work with budget and accounting processes.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, strategic planning, writing, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills.
  • Effective communication skills with demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and teams.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to gain and maintain unescorted access at nuclear sites.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to travel between 10-15% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic project discussions and align the team to ensure quality and deadlines are met.
  • Manage client interactions and negotiate/control project scope to client and company's satisfaction.
  • Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to established schedule and within budget.
  • Understand project schedules, project management plans, and manage project staff to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Formulate/develop detailed project reports and understand project financials to report regularly to management on financial status and overall project performance.
  • Work with technical staff to develop winning, highly technical engineering proposals and support marketing efforts.
