About The Position

At Lockheed Martin, our Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) National Team (C2NT) is pioneering the development and integration of cutting-edge technologies to advance the Missile Defense System, safeguarding the United States and its allies. Our collaborative and agile organization operates in a fast-paced environment, driving innovation through tasks such as sensor/weapon integration, algorithm development, user interface development, automated testing, cyber security, enterprise/infrastructure services, and enhancing leading-edge missile defense technologies. The project engineer will plan, execute, and coordinate complex, multi‑disciplinary engineering projects for the NES Agile Release Train, ensuring scope, schedule, technical deliverables, system integration, and compliance. You will facilitate Agile ceremonies, manage project data, and act as a proactive blocker‑remover, while owning cost‑schedule performance through EVMS tools, monitoring metrics, and delivering CAM reporting. You'll identify and mitigate risks, participate in design reviews to enforce engineering standards and contracts, and craft innovative solutions. Additionally, you will prepare technical and programmatic briefings for leadership and stakeholders, support DCMA audits and baseline reviews, collaborate across NES and other program entities for tight coordination, and assist with proposal development and engineering estimates. As leader of the C2BMC team, Lockheed Martin directs a partnership of highly responsive industry leaders developing and fielding the backbone of America's missile defense. Together, this national team supports the design, development, test, integration and fielding of hardware and software elements that enable the Missile Defense System (MDS) to function effectively and continually. You will also have the opportunity to interface with our key customers in the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). You are a results‑driven Project Engineer with experience delivering multi‑disciplinary projects, fluent in Agile practices and EVMS. You excel at risk management, design‑review participation, and creating innovative technical solutions. Your strong communication skills enable clear, compelling presentations and documentation using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. You thrive in collaborative teams of network engineers, CAMs, and Earned Value Leads, yet can work independently on challenging tasks. You are a U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance and are willing to travel as needed.
