About The Position

Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. In this role you will drive improvement projects for LC-36 Ground Infrastructure, Integration Facility Vehicle Refurbishment and Processing in order to achieve recurring cost, cycle time, and system reliability goals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years system development/integration experience or project management experience - preferably with aerospace hardware or complex technical systems
  • Experience in managing projects involving the design, development, and delivery of complex hardware systems.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and managing schedules, budgets, and integrated project plans.
  • Excellent technical writing and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • B.S./B.A. degree in engineering or other technical field

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in an engineering discipline or an MBA.
  • PMP certification or formal training in project management methodologies.
  • Experience managing projects in the aerospace industry, particularly with flight hardware for launch vehicles or spacecraft.
  • Experience managing launch pad ground systems and CONOPS
  • Proficiency with project management software such as MS Project, Primavera P6
  • Experience with risk management and Earned Value Management (EVM).

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and execute opportunities for Launch Operations improvements - measuring variances, advocating for resources, and driving to closure to realize aggressive cost and cycle-time objectives
  • Lead and facilitate decisions and risk/opportunity review boards, driving clear outcomes, actions, and accountability for achieving rate and cost targets
  • Guide development and implementation of tracking tools, KPI's, Performance Metrics and reports for improvement opportunities and realized impacts from projects
  • Collaborate with Launch Pad, Transporter Erector, Vehicle Refurbishment and Integration, Launch Infrastructure Development partners to drive integrated system-wide upgrades and improvements
  • Lead complex projects, manage schedule integration across all LC-36 teams and stakeholders
