About The Position
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Engineer III to oversee and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities for complex, large-scale DOE projects. This role supports full project lifecycle engineering—planning, organizing, directing, and executing technical assignments. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure compliance, execution quality, and timely delivery within one of the nation’s most critical research environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
- 10–15 years of progressive engineering experience
- DOE (Department of Energy) project experience — required
- Strong background in construction and project engineering
- Experience in project design engineering, startup, field engineering, or industrial plant operations
- U.S. Citizenship required
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise engineering activities across multiple disciplines
- Plan and coordinate engineering assignments for designated project scope
- Interpret technical requirements and ensure quality and compliance
- Coordinate with construction, procurement, and operations teams
- Support project startup, field engineering, and plant operations activities
