About The Position

The Project Engineer III at Longenecker & Associates (L&A) is responsible for planning and executing project management assignments at a national laboratory in Aiken, South Carolina. Requirements

• Accredited four-year degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 15 years of work-related experience in engineering.
• Professional certification or registration in the applicable field.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
• Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable statutes and guidelines.
• Attention to detail and time management skills.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Working knowledge of Federal regulations applicable to design.
• Ability to work in a diverse work environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience on DOE sites and programs.
• Eight years of experience in EPFC/CM industry.
• Experience in managing risk assessments initiatives.
• Experience in international locations and diverse cultural environments.
• Previous performance in project engineering on medium or large projects.
• Knowledge of Fluor's software tools and databases.
• Proficient in building relationships with clients and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform project management assignments worldwide.
• Manage and coordinate project activities in compliance with contracts.
• Monitor project progress and prepare necessary documentation.
• Collaborate with project functions and engineering disciplines.
• Review staffing requirements and coordinate with functional managers.
• Support the creation and coordination of project plans and schedules.
• Monitor activities, progress, and milestones against project plans.
• Assist in developing documentation for project contractual and technical issues.
• Conduct and coordinate related meetings as necessary.
