About The Position

The Project Engineer III serves as a design lead responsible for coordinating major technical components of land development projects. This role leads the preparation of grading and stormwater management design and assembles large portions of the overall plan set. Project Engineer III staff make most project design decisions and guide junior engineers through the design process.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering or similar field of study from an accredited university is required
  • 6–8 years of land development design experience.
  • Advanced expertise in grading and stormwater management design.
  • Strong understanding of site development permitting requirements.
  • Ability to lead technical design and mentor staff.

Nice To Haves

  • EIT certification preferred, with active pursuit of PE licensure strongly encouraged.

Responsibilities

  • Lead grading design for land development projects.
  • Design stormwater management facilities and drainage systems.
  • Assemble and coordinate major portions of construction plan sets.
  • Provide technical direction to Engineer I and II staff.
  • Review work prepared by junior engineers for quality and accuracy.
  • Coordinate across disciplines including survey, planning, and environmental.
  • Assist project managers in maintaining schedules and deliverables.
  • Participate in technical meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
