About The Position

The Project Engineer I is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, and managing onsite construction engineering activities for large, extensive projects. This role ensures that project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support the overall construction schedule. The engineer will provide technical support for the construction effort, which includes participation in construction planning and design, interpretation of design, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, and conduct constructability reviews. Additionally, the Project Engineer I will develop, implement, and administer project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents. They will represent the company, project, and/or department during A/E, client, and project management meetings, and interface with all on-site departments as required to resolve problems and ensure the quality of construction in support of the overall project schedule. The role may also involve performing additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • 4-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training and related experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of similar construction engineering experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards.
  • In-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between functional units.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team of varied disciplines.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer is valuable.
