About The Position

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $84,000 - $126,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is typically held by an individual that has at least 4 years’ experience as a Systems Application Engineer with related industry knowledge and demonstrated communication skills for interfacing directly with customers and other trades. This individual should have experience with HVAC and security installations and be proficient in all types of building systems and application of our technology. Shall be capable of coordination of other project team activities on site, including coordination with other trades, commissioning agents, and customers. This position is responsible for project coordination, safety, installation, checkout, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Ensures that daily activities on site for projects are completed and regular progress on projects are communicated to the project manager. Ensure all design engineer activity is aligned with latest conformed construction documents prior to installation Able to modify and update design drawings and maintain red line documents Collaborates with project manager and procurement personnel on purchasing activity and monitors budget and schedule risks Assist the PM in material procurement Ensure materials are being delivered to site or subcontractors for installation Validate hardware and project installations Install, replace and re-commission devices, equipment, and software Diagnose communication problems and install control devices and other components as well as troubleshoot software and hardware issues Participate in field quality control or safety audits and review analysis and results Coordinate with on-site contractors for the installation of equipment based on shop drawings Act as primary point of contact for subcontractors during installation phase Coordinate and address any issues during installation phase independently Collaborate with the Project Manager to coordinate projects through the installation phase Provide feedback to the Project Manager for manpower requirements Assisting with startup documentation and submission Contribute to a complete operations to service turnover process Responsible for overall system functionality and performance Setup outside ISP connections and remote connectivity to customer sites

Requirements

  • Must have 3+ years of electrical experience

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred System Knowledge and understanding of BMS Technology, HVAC topologies, BMS integration, Field devices, and control protocols.
  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering in computer science preferred
  • EBO and Niagara experience preferred
  • HVAC/BMS Control background
  • EcoStruxure Building Operation

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all design engineer activity is aligned with latest conformed construction documents prior to installation
  • Able to modify and update design drawings and maintain red line documents
  • Collaborates with project manager and procurement personnel on purchasing activity and monitors budget and schedule risks
  • Assist the PM in material procurement
