About The Position

GFT Infrastructure is seeking an Engineer, Hydraulics to join our Hydraulics Team in Fort Worth, TX or Houston, TX! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Fort Worth, TX office. Joining the dams and hydraulics team at GFT means contributing to innovative solutions for sustainable water management and infrastructure. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
  • 4 to 8 Years of relevant experience involving H&H Projects
  • Experience with Project proposals and Presentations

Nice To Haves

  • Expertise with ArcGIS
  • HEC-RAS (1D/2D)
  • HEC-HMS
  • XP SWMM (1D/2D)
  • AutoCAD/MicroStation (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of drainage impact studies, master plans and engineering reports (including CLOMRS & LOMRS)
  • Lead the development of project design concepts, criteria, construction plans and reviews project documents for conformity and quality assurance
  • Work with client and other disciplines to prepare appropriate designs, as dictated by the scope of work
  • Analyze complex design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures
  • Consults with construction personnel concerning design constructability
  • Provide input for proposals and pursuit of new projects
  • Supervision of junior level staff
  • Makes recommendations on project staffing
  • Communicates independently with clients
  • Manages design team integrated with multiple disciplines of about 5-10 people
