The Project Engineer at Montrose Environmental Group Inc. is responsible for collaborating with Senior Engineers on various environmental projects, focusing on pollution control, waste management, environmental impact assessments, and sustainable designs.   • Conduct scientific and engineering analysis under a Senior Engineer's supervision.
  • Develop project documentation, technical reports, data interpretations, permits, and graphical presentations.
  • Perform field inspections and activities in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Enhance technical expertise in a specific area.
  • Maintain proficiency in field sampling, inspections, data collection, and analysis.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of relevant regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with technical staff and interface with customers to provide project updates.
  • Track project budgets and hours, effectively managing time to meet deadlines.
  • Communicate potential issues to the Senior Project Manager.
  • Uphold confidentiality and follow safety protocols per company policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and stay current on industry trends through training and workshops.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's Degree or master's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • A licensed Professional Engineer preferred or currently has an Engineer in Training (EIT) certification and is able to obtain a license within one year of starting, preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of environmental compliance and environmental engineering principles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to work well in a team-driven environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and leaders.
  • Ability to travel (< 10%).
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment where you handle multiple project assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Complete and maintain HAZWOPER certification with the 40-hour HAZWOPER environmental health and safety class and annual 8-hour refresher classes.
