Our Federal group is looking for a Project Engineer to support our growing portfolio of Department of Energy (DOE) projects in the Pacific Northwest.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience (completion of master's degree in related field may substitute for one year of experience).
  • Highly effective communicator with clear and concise writing and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous consulting experience preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA-1) design requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or support important projects for clients.
  • Demonstrate experience leading multi-discipline design teams and coordinating design submittals.
  • Manage all phases of project execution, from initial planning studies to detailed design and support during construction.
  • Understand the steps of project development and the level of detail required in each step.
  • Conduct project field work, interfacing with construction or fabrication teams and completing redline markups.
  • Develop and manage workplans, schedules, and budgets while providing leadership to a diverse project team.
  • Utilize Computer Aided Design (CAD), Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite effectively.
  • Write and lead the development of technical reports and studies.
  • Support business development efforts by engaging with clients, developing engineering estimates, and supporting proposal development.
  • Work with DOE Hanford Site contractors.
