The Lockheed Martin Space Product Center is seeking a Project Engineer - Early Career. In this role, you will work collaboratively with Product Leads and Engineering Teams to build and maintain a portfolio of products for Satellite, Payload, and Missile programs. The successful candidate will have experience with engineering design, test engineering, manufacturing excellence, and/or systems engineering and the ability to apply those skills to manage a portfolio of products. While some experience or ability to interpret technical documentation such as product specs and requirements is a bonus, more emphasis will be placed on general business acumen and the ability to coordinate and lead cross-functional projects and support technical product teams in the development of the product portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field from an accredited college
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment; strong project management skills
  • Leadership experience from project, internship, or club involvement

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with manufacturing, test engineering, system engineering, and/or engineering design through internships & class projects
  • Experience facilitating discussions, meetings, and capturing critical actions/requirements
  • Flexibility to quickly adapt to changing business environments and priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to construct, gather, and analyze complex data sets and develop actionable recommendations
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills for strategic- and executive-level audiences
  • Experience using Microsoft (MS) Office Suite
  • Ability to obtain a Secret or Top Secret clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) clearance(s) if necessary

Responsibilities

  • Working with Product Leads and Engineering & Technology to identify and add preferred reuse products to the Product Center portfolio.
  • Build strategies and roadmaps for products in the PC portfolio.
  • Support the team with preparing for Sr. Leadership and Executive Level meetings each month.
  • Support strategy development, campaigns, and strategy projects related to defining the organization’s operating model.
  • Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Develop data models and visualization tools using internal and external data.
  • Support business case assessment and resourcing strategy development.
  • Support the team with gathering technical artifacts for the product portfolio that encompass Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test requirements.
