We are seeking a talented Project Design Engineer with experience in 3D modeling, BIM, or VDC to join our expanding team. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of AutoCAD experience or Bachelor's in engineering, fire design or similar field
• Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD 2D drafting & 3D modeling
• Understanding of MS Office applications
• Good organizational skills
• Able to communicate technical information
• Desire to learn industry standards
• Willingness to study for and obtain NICET certification

Responsibilities

• Design life safety and asset protection systems using AutoCAD and proprietary software applications
• Update existing drawings
• Direct contractors in proper system installation and operation
• Survey job sites to ensure proper system design and installation
• Assist in system startups and commissioning
• Assist with system inspection and maintenance
• Create project specific operation and maintenance manuals
• Assist office staff with engineering related tasks
• Attend manufacturer training classes
