Our production environment is highly specialized, involving cleanroom operations, precision crystal growth, and rigorous metrology to ensure the highest standards of quality and performance. As a Project Engineer, Productivity & Cost Account Management, you’ll play a pivotal role in productivity improvements and modernizing our manufacturing operations. You’ll work hands-on in a fast-paced, cleanroom-based production setting where attention to detail, safety, and collaboration are essential. Your work will support the fabrication and testing of infrared sensors by improving how data is collected, processed, and used—from automating project reporting and report generation to migrating legacy systems and connecting progress and accounting information to internal and external sponsors. Success in this role requires not only strong technical skills in project management and cost account systems, but also the ability to work closely with engineers, technicians, and production staff in a controlled environment. You’ll be expected to understand the urgency of production schedules, communicate clearly across disciplines, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance yield, reliability, and throughput. Take charge and step in with engineering solutions if necessary.

Requirements

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience in Engineering, Program, Project, and/or cost management

Responsibilities

• Manage project schedules, aligning key tasks and milestones.
• Collaborate with engineering colleagues and financial sponsors to define quantifiable milestones
• Plan and track tasks and milestones within an Integrated Master Schedule
• Manage and lead teams to ensure progress
• Utilize cost account tools to track financial resources and commitments.
• Develop tools to automate generation of reports.
• Standardize and integrate project reporting
• Develop capacity models to ensure accurate forecasting
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to understand production workflows and data needs.
• Work in controlled areas, cleanrooms, laboratories etc.
• Develop fundamental understanding of crystal growth and epitaxial processes
