About The Position

OHM Advisors' Environmental & Water Resource Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer with a strong background in sewer conveyance design and pipeline rehabilitation to join our growing team. As a Project Engineer, you will directly contribute to the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, with a specific focus on sewer pipeline rehabilitation. This role offers the opportunity to function as a lead engineer and/or assistant project manager on complex sewer rehabilitation challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a focus on conveyance systems.
  • Experience with the design and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with project management principles and practices.
  • Experience with the layout and profiles of pipeline design in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Knowledge of subsurface and geotechnical engineering requirements.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • NASSCO certification.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Project Engineer and/or Design Manager with full technical responsibility for planning, coordination, and execution of tasks for small or larger projects.
  • Preparation of contract specifications and drawings.
  • Planning, design and construction of new pipelines (pressure and gravity) or rehabilitation projects ranging in diameters and material type including condition assessment and prioritization and rehabilitation of existing pipelines.
  • Pipe design calculations to determine pipe size, pressure class, external loads including trench design, pipe joint selection, etc.
  • Utility investigations and coordination to determine and resolve potential vertical and horizontal utility conflicts.
  • Field surveying project requirements.
  • Sewer system evaluation surveys; inflow/infiltration studies.
  • Development and review of technical reports, proposals, contract documents, resources studies, and data analysis.
  • Office and field engineering support during construction.
