About The Position

BOYD Corporation (Woburn) is a market leader and manufacturer of high-performance cooling products for use in the aerospace, military, alternative energy and medical markets. Our continued growth has created an immediate opening for a Project Engineer. We are looking for a highly motivated design engineer with excellent communication skills who can write proposals to win new business and manage new product development projects. This position requires creativity and the ability to sell your ideas internally and to customers. In this highly visible position in our Engineering department you will: Lead new product development teams. Manage programs to ensure that cost, performance, and schedule goals are achieved Run customer facing calls / meetings to discuss program updates & reviews Design heat exchangers, cold plates and other value-added assemblies to provide differentiated thermal solutions Write proposals that win new business Develop and execute verification test plans Write test procedures and engineering reports

Requirements

  • BS degree in mechanical engineering and 3+ years of experience
  • Experience with finite element analysis tools
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Working experience with SolidWorks and Microsoft Project
  • Hands on experience working in lab environment with build/test of development parts and/or manufacturing environment
  • US Citizen; no dual citizenships

Nice To Haves

  • MSME degree and design experience with heat exchangers or related thermal management products.
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
  • Working knowledge of metal forming, CNC machining, metal joining and heat treating strongly preferred.
  • Experience with aerospace or military product development strongly preferred.
