The Project Engineer is responsible for managing all project submittals, including Requests for Information (RFI) and shop drawings. This role involves reviewing contract documents, ensuring thorough documentation of both internal and external communications, assisting the Senior Project Manager, and providing excellent customer service to all project stakeholders. The position also entails analyzing and summarizing key components of contract documents such as design plans, special provisions, standard specifications, and the scope of work. The Project Engineer will maintain various logs, assist in identifying design changes, compile project information, and manage drawing revisions and document control. Close collaboration with Production Management, Scheduling, Purchasing, Estimating, and Quality Control personnel is essential to establish job sequencing and confirm material and state specifications. The role requires maintaining communication with Detailers, monitoring fabrication and shipping schedules, and assisting in problem identification and solution development.
