About The Position

As a Project Engineer you will be responsible for communicating project progress across various teams and acting as the focal interface between program managers, team leads, engineering subject matter experts, suppliers, and program partners on respective contracts within the portfolio of programs. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting proposals and business capture for Advanced Development Programs (ADP). Understanding program technical information and contractual scopes. Creating, coordinating, and implementing project plans. Providing strategies, resolving issues, and integrating with external partners, suppliers, and vendors. Driving continuous improvements, technical solutions, change management, and risk assessments. Roadmap development Metrics generation and reporting Cross-IPT coordination Managing Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) and Buyer Furnished Material (BFM) with Suppliers, providing execution plan, shipment/shortage information, requirement changes, shipping instructions/Return to Vendor (RTV) info, material discrepancies/issues, and timely BFE/ BFM performance. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with experience in Engineering, or a related STEM field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working proposals, contracts and/or process development and Improvement
  • Experience in Project Planning and/or Project Management
  • Experience communicating with multi-disciplined engineering teams
  • Experience working with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
  • The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

Nice To Haves

  • Earned Value Management Experience
  • Experience with Project Management, Project Engineering, and/or Systems Engineering
  • Knowledge of / Experience with engineering design and /or tools such as Catia v5 (or other equivalent CAD systems with ability to learn), Teamcenter/JIRA or other tracking tools
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Travel, overtime, odd shifts, and weekend work may be required
  • Experience with project performance and metric tools such as Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and Tableau
  • Ability to or Experience conducting gap analysis and managing multiple projects/milestones
  • Familiarity with Agile processes (Sprint Planning, PI Planning, Retrospectives, etc.)
  • Experience conducting or participating in Test Planning and Test Readiness Reviews (TRR)
  • Familiarity with Equipment/Material Management and Supply Chain activities/planning
