Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other civil engineering design tools
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.
• Ability to work with internal and external project team members
• Excellent time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work well independently or on a team
• Knowledge of construction activities
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required
• Previous intern or co-op experience in the civil industry is preferred
• 4 + years of civil engineering experience is preferred
• Professional Engineer License (PE) for the State of Wisconsin is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists with preparation of scope of services for design work.
• Evaluates design and cost proposals submitted by consultants.
• Makes technical reviews and provides recommendations regarding design work.
• Assists with establishing design and construction schedules.
• Develops site and infrastructure design including street plans (plan & profile, cross sections, etc.), grading and erosion control plans, storm water management facilities, sanitary sewer systems, water distribution systems and storm sewer systems while using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Calculates quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
• Assists with the preparation of specifications.
• Ensures compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices and policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
