Northrop Grumman, Space Systems, is currently seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Project Engineer with extensive technical expertise to be responsible for technical execution in the continued manufacturing and support, including modernization, of the Fleet Ballistic Missile hardware produced at the Clearfield, UT Facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university.
  • For level 3: 5 years with BS; 3 years with Masters; 0 years’ experience with PhD.
  • For level 4: 8 years with BS; 6 years with Masters; 4 years’ experience with PhD.
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain a DOD Secret clearance.
  • Technical excellence, collaboration/teamwork, and trustworthiness.
  • Ability to see the larger picture for the system as a whole.
  • Experience in ePIC, ETM, MRB, configuration management, technical writing, and change board presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to timely function in a matrixed construct and to self-manage a dynamic demanding workload.
  • Strong demonstrated written and oral communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in VSET leadership, Quality Engineering, Design Engineering, or Process Ownership.
  • Experience in a government contractor environment.
  • Detailed scope/schedule/budget planning skills.
  • Configuration Management experience and certification.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with subject experts to manage/facilitate project technical requirements.
  • Manage dissemination of data and information.
  • Facilitate risk reduction and opportunity realization to support successful program goals.
  • Coordinate daily with on-site customers at a working group level.
  • Function as a subject matter expert and use ingenuity and creativity.
