About The Position

The role leads multiple projects involving information analysis, financial impact, systems analysis and implementation, solutions development, and project management. The position is responsible for evaluating and implementing manpower, systems, and corporate projects to reduce operating expenses, increase revenue, and enhance customer service. It involves leading the development and implementation of operating plans, conducting studies, and preparing data for analysis by engineers and operations. The role sets strategies for transforming business processes and operational tools to achieve global excellence and prepares, analyzes, and monitors short and long-term plans. Additionally, it leads cross-functional teams in analyzing expansion, new products, procedures, and regulatory requirements, ensuring optimum facility utilization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline required.
  • Eight (8) years of relevant experience required.
  • Ability to create operating plans, conduct studies, analyze and prepare data for Engineers.
  • Knowledge and ability to create strategies and monitor both long and short-term plans.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to lead project teams.
  • Knowledge of operational and financial plans and data.
  • Ability to manage suppliers.
  • Ability to design and facilitate technical training.
  • Strong communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Large scale or global project leadership experience.
  • Experience with FedEx, Amazon, DHL, Airline or Freight Forwarded operations and/or planning.
  • Station, Ramp and/or Hub experience in individual contributor role.
  • Diverse experience in operations, engineering, IT, business.
  • Software/Tool Skills: Power BI, Operations Technology (Scanning, Weight/Balance, Planning Software, Density/Capacity Exposure).

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and implements manpower, systems, and corporate projects to reduce operating expenses, increase revenue, and enhance customer service.
  • Leads the development and implementation of operating plans, conducting studies, and preparing data for analysis by engineers and operations.
  • Sets strategies for transforming business processes and operational tools to achieve global excellence.
  • Prepares, analyzes, and monitors short and long-term plans.
  • Leads cross-functional teams in analyzing expansion, new products, procedures, and regulatory requirements and development plans for efficient package volume distribution.
  • Ensures multiple suppliers and hired professional services comply with policies, procedures, and governing authorities.
  • Develops procedures for operations, preparing and monitoring operations, and providing analysis of capacity needs, product variance, procedures, technology, and staffing.
  • Leads the monitoring, analysis, and recommendation of methods to improve productivity, service, and cost performance.
  • Leads and serves on special study teams, overseeing research, evaluation, and recommendations of emerging technology and management methodologies.
  • Plans, organizes, and schedules activities for initiatives.
  • Develops project and communication plans, project status to stakeholders, and requirement specifications.
  • Studies to implement innovative concepts into operations, systems, and customer solutions.
  • Collects, analyzes, and reports financial and operational indicators for corporate and departmental initiatives.
  • Designs and delivers technical training to personnel through workshops, seminars, and one-on-one sessions.
  • Evaluates capital and expense requests, annual and long-range budget processes, and leads the development of operational and project budgets.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance in solution design, system development, and testing.
  • Prepares and presents business justifications to support funding approval processes.
  • Leads communication between operations and corporate departments to provide technical and local expertise related to corporate or department initiatives and operations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
