About The Position

This position is focused on audience growth across the NBA’s digital products through compelling content journeys including messaging, interactive experiences and digital challenges. You must have strong knowledge of the NBA, social and digital platforms, and the media landscape.

Requirements

  • Deeply knowledgeable and passionate about the NBA and its players, coaches, and teams
  • Strong knowledge of the NBA’s digital products including the NBA App, NBA ID, NBA League Pass
  • Strong knowledge of basketball stats / analytics and the rules of the game
  • Strong knowledge of NBA sneakers, fashion, and music culture
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, GIPHY, and TikTok, and how the NBA uses each platform
  • Exceptional writing skills, as well as the ability to execute editorial judgment
  • Ability to work on deadline and handle multiple tasks at once with a precise and detail-oriented approach
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule as this position will include nights and weekends based on the NBA calendar
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Mobile apps, mobile gaming experience a plus
  • Digital CRM, audience growth experience a plus
  • Understanding of media landscape a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop personalized user journeys via content and messaging to drive fans deeper into the NBA’s digital products
  • Develop new and innovative ways to drive fans into live games and cultivate engagement around the live game experience
  • Support and weave the NBA ID ecosystem seamlessly into digital content experiences, digital challenges, etc.
  • Concept, create and publish storyline-relevant games for NBA Play, the league’s new home for interactive games, as well as fan engagement experiences across NBA products
  • Create and manage a daily content calendar that highlights original ideas for interactivity, engagement and messaging to support the league’s storylines, tentpole events
  • Actively participate in content planning for the NBA's digital and social platforms
  • Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to develop unique and bespoke digital experiences
  • Leverage analytics and data-driven insights to regularly inform interactivity and gamification strategy
