Arcadis is seeking an Electrical Engineer, with strong background in the water-wastewater industry, to join our Resilience Water team in the Columbus, OH area. The primary focus of this role will be to provide technical and design consulting services with a focus on electrical power distribution, electrical controls, lighting, and communications, to support projects for the Water Division.

  • Serve as Arcadis’ main point of contact for clients' electrical needs and support projects and clients in the planning, design, and construction of water/wastewater facilities and similar industrial projects.
  • Assist in developing project management skills, including managing project budgets, coordinating delivery schedules, and ensuring successful execution of scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Perform electrical design and coordination tasks with focus on power distribution, lighting systems, communication systems, fire alarm systems and control systems.
  • Utilize CAD software (Autodesk and Bentley products) for electrical system design and documentation.
  • Establish design criteria and perform design calculations.
  • Develop electrical design documents including one-line diagrams, control schematics, electrical plans and specifications.
  • Provide engineering services during construction, review equipment submittals and shop drawings and respond to contractor RFIs (Requests for Information).
  • Conduct field inspections to identify deviations from design and ensure safety compliance during construction.
  • Perform electrical system analysis using tools such as ETAP, SKM Power Tools and other power systems analysis software.
  • Travel as required to meet project needs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • EIT or Professional Engineer (PE).
