About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead and elevate our industrial construction and cold storage project portfolio. In this strategic leadership position, you will drive project excellence, mentor high-performing construction management teams, and serve as the trusted advisor to our valued clients. This hands-on role combines executive leadership with operational oversight—managing multi-million dollar budgets, ensuring on-time delivery, mitigating risk, and fostering long-term client partnerships that fuel business growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field required
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in construction project management with demonstrated team leadership
  • Proven track record successfully directing large-scale industrial construction projects ($20M+ project values preferred)
  • Experience with cold storage facilities, warehouses, manufacturing plants, or distribution centers highly desirable
  • Strong financial management skills including budget development, cost control, and P&L responsibility
  • Expert knowledge of design-build delivery methods and construction contract administration
  • Exceptional leadership abilities with experience mentoring Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field personnel
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills
  • Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar platforms)
  • Deep understanding of building codes, construction methods, and quality control processes

Nice To Haves

  • PMP, CCM, or DBIA certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor project management teams across multiple industrial construction and cold storage facility projects
  • Oversee all phases of project delivery from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule adherence
  • Serve as primary client liaison, building and maintaining strategic relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and stakeholders
  • Manage project budgets, forecasting, cash flow, and profitability to meet or exceed financial targets
  • Drive design-build project execution, coordinating with design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies and proactive problem-solving throughout project lifecycles
  • Develop and execute operational improvements and best practices to enhance team performance and project outcomes
  • Monitor project performance metrics and provide executive-level reporting to senior leadership
  • Champion safety culture and ensure full compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards
  • Identify business development opportunities and contribute to pursuit strategies for new industrial projects
