Key Responsibilities Lead with a servant-leadership approach that reflects and promotes the company’s mission, vision, values, and brand Build and maintain strong relationships with funders, staff, partners, and employers Set and execute operational strategy aligned with funder requirements, local needs, and organizational priorities Foster a positive, inclusive, and accountable culture that drives collaboration, innovation, and excellent customer experience Participate in business development activities, including contract renewals and new business opportunities Communicate project performance, outcomes, and financial status to Equus leadership, funders, and Board stakeholders Financial Management Oversee fiscal operations and manage contract investments to maximize service delivery Forecast expenditures to ensure funding sustainability throughout the fiscal year Develop, manage, and deliver budgets in alignment with Equus and funder expectations Ensure costs comply with local, state, and federal guidelines, including cost allocation plans Human Resources & Talent Management Manage human resource functions, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management, in partnership with Corporate HR and Employee Relations Establish SMART goals aligned with contract, funder, and organizational objectives Evaluate team and program performance to ensure achievement of outcomes Operations, Compliance & Quality Ensure compliance with all contractual, programmatic, and reporting requirements Maintain effective recordkeeping, control systems, and quality assurance practices Interpret funder priorities and translate them into actionable implementation plans Ensure delivery of required training and ongoing staff support Administer policies and procedures in accordance with company and funder standards Perform quality monitoring to ensure efficient, effective operations and a positive customer experience Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Project Management, or a closely related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive operational leadership experience, including program planning, development, and staff supervision
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of liability insurance may be required

Nice To Haves

  • Senior-level management experience overseeing multiple functions or teams, with accountability to executive leadership or a board of directors preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
  • Demonstrated experience in fiscal and financial management, including budget oversight and management of grants and/or contracts
  • Proven ability to manage and maintain contractual and funder relationships
  • Experience providing operational oversight within a workforce development or human services environment preferred, but not required
