About The Position

The incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day operations of REYO, operating all general management functions including project planning and development, personnel management, procurement of funds, and assisting with or performing budget management.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of substance abuse and mental health services and experience working with consumers with mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Knowledge of human resources policies and procedures.
  • Skills of successfully working with the Alaska Native/American Indian population and experience providing culturally specific programming with an understanding of and sensitivity to diverse cultures and lifestyles.
  • Skills managing multiple, concurrent priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Skills in operating computers and using Windows, Word, and Excel with the ability to accurately enter information into reporting formats.
  • Skills to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, agencies, and consumers.
  • Ability to protect confidentiality is essential; HIPAA & 42 CFR compliant.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with and in teams.
  • Ability to write in a professional manner and tone.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to report to work on time.
  • Ability to apply customer service concepts and practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health or a related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of project management experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience providing service to Alaska Native/American Indian populations.
  • A combination of experience, education, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may substitute for degree requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in behavioral health or a related field.
  • Experience serving youth and young adults.
  • Project administration experience.

Responsibilities

  • Implements and achieves project duties, goals, and objectives timely.
  • Submits all grant reports to program management before submission to the granting agency.
  • Oversees daily operations of the project while adhering to and frequently monitoring the utilization of the project budget.
  • Oversees contract deliverables with responsibility for the achievement of project goals and objectives.
  • Prepares narrative and quantitative reports for program reporting requirements, develops continuation grants, and completes required Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA) reporting.
  • Act as the point of contact for the SAMSHA Government Program Officer.
  • Meet with the Program Evaluator quarterly while overseeing quality assurance.
  • Maintains knowledge of current and future needs of the project and adjusts for emerging needs.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
