About The Position

Will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Community Synergy program, including timely project implementation, the achievement of goals and objectives, adherence to timeliness and the achievement of members. Performs all general management functions to include program planning and development, personnel management, assist with or perform budgeting and procurement of funds management.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of substance abuse and mental health; and appropriate skills in working with consumers with Mental Health/Substance Use disorders.
  • Must have experience working successfully with the AN/AI population and experience providing culturally specific programming; understanding and sensitivity to diverse cultures and lifestyles.
  • Fosters a team spirited approach, supervises staff in a manner that motivates and enables them to do their job effectively and efficiently and oversees staff development opportunities.
  • Skill in managing multiple priorities and tasks concurrently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and computer skills, effective organizational skills and written, analytical, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, agencies, and consumers.
  • The incumbent of this position must work well under pressure, meetings, multiple and conflicting deadlines. The incumbent shall at all times demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisor and consumers.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with teams.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field. A combination of experience, education, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may substitute for degree requirements.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in project management.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience providing service to Alaska Native and American Indian population.

  • Master’s degree in related field.
  • Experience working in behavioral health.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and maintains requirements specific conditions, fiscal accountability, ensures all project compliance is carried out and program goals and objective are met.
  • Plans, directs, monitors and coordinates services of the Community Synergy Program.
  • Responsible for overall effectiveness and quality of care.
  • Responsible for timely implementation and fidelity of evidence-based practices (EBP).
  • Conducts quarterly performance assessments in collaboration with project evaluator.
  • Oversees daily operations of project.
  • Prepares all program reports in an accurate and timely manner according to established FNA policies and procedures, ensures timely submittal of all reports to include monthly reports to administration and all reports required by granting agencies.
  • Responsible for program reporting to SAMHSA with routine conferences with SAMHSA GPO.
  • Responsible for meeting program timelines, to include quarterly meetings with the Evaluator.
  • Plans, collaborates and consults with other FNA departments, local, state and federal organizations that include needs assessments, quality assurance and evaluation.
  • Maintains confidentiality in accordance with 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPPA.
  • Maintains overall compliance with CARF regulations.
  • Oversees fiscal management, including analyzing and/or assisting with budget development abiding by FNA policies and procedures.
  • Attends all required FNA meetings, professional meetings, workshops and trainings as required.
  • Maintains knowledge of current and future needs of program and may develop programs for emerging needs.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
