Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Project Management, or a closely related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive operational leadership experience, including program planning, development, and staff supervision
  • Senior-level management experience overseeing multiple functions or teams, with accountability to executive leadership or a board of directors preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
  • Demonstrated experience in fiscal and financial management, including budget oversight and management of grants and/or contracts
  • Proven ability to manage and maintain contractual and funder relationships
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of liability insurance may be required

  • Experience providing operational oversight within a workforce development or human services environment preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Lead with a servant-leadership approach that reflects and promotes the company’s mission, vision, values, and brand
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with funders, staff, partners, and employers
  • Set and execute operational strategy aligned with funder requirements, local needs, and organizational priorities
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and accountable culture that drives collaboration, innovation, and excellent customer experience
  • Participate in business development activities, including contract renewals and new business opportunities
  • Communicate project performance, outcomes, and financial status to Equus leadership, funders, and Board stakeholders
  • Oversee fiscal operations and manage contract investments to maximize service delivery
  • Forecast expenditures to ensure funding sustainability throughout the fiscal year
  • Develop, manage, and deliver budgets in alignment with Equus and funder expectations
  • Ensure costs comply with local, state, and federal guidelines, including cost allocation plans
  • Manage human resource functions, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management, in partnership with Corporate HR and Employee Relations
  • Establish SMART goals aligned with contract, funder, and organizational objectives
  • Evaluate team and program performance to ensure achievement of outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual, programmatic, and reporting requirements
  • Maintain effective recordkeeping, control systems, and quality assurance practices
  • Interpret funder priorities and translate them into actionable implementation plans
  • Ensure delivery of required training and ongoing staff support
  • Administer policies and procedures in accordance with company and funder standards
  • Perform quality monitoring to ensure efficient, effective operations and a positive customer experience
  • Perform other duties as assigned
