About The Position

The position involves leading by example through servant leadership values and promoting the company mission, vision, values, and brand. The role requires developing and maintaining strong relationships with funders, staff, partners, and employers while setting strategies for successful operations that consider funder, local area, and organizational needs. The candidate will foster a positive, inclusive, and accountable culture, establish a motivational and collaborative work environment, and participate in business development activities. Responsibilities also include managing fiscal operations, human resources, performance and quality, and ensuring compliance with contractual and program requirements.

Requirements

• BS/BA in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Project Management, or closely related field of study
• Operational leadership experience with a minimum of 5 years professional experience organizing, planning, and developing programs and services at a management level
• Senior level management experience managing multiple departments/functions/teams
• Fiscal/financial management experience, operational oversight, and experience managing grants and/or contracts
• Proven ability to manage contractual relationships
• At least 2 years of experience providing operational oversight in a workforce development or human services environment desired, but not required
• Experience in public speaking
• Intermediate level MS Office Skills
• Proof of valid driver's license and liability insurance may be required

• Sets strategy for successful operations considering funder, local area, and organizational needs

• Participates in business development activities, including contract rebid and new business opportunities
• Communicates project and company activities and progress to Equus leadership, funder staff, and Board
• Responsible for fiscal operations of the project
• Manages contract investment to maximize services
• Forecasts spending to ensure funding availability throughout the fiscal year
• Creates and delivers on Equus and funder's budget expectations
• Reviews costs to ensure alignment with local, federal, and state allowances
• Establishes and reviews cost allocation plans
• Manages human resource responsibilities including hiring, coaching, and disciplining
• Oversees hiring of team members and ensures consistent onboarding and training
• Sets SMART goals for team members that align with contract, funder, and Equus goals/objectives
• Evaluates the performance and impact of the organization and staff in meeting objectives
• Ensures compliance to meet or exceed contractual expectations
• Ensures proper practices regarding record keeping, control systems, and reporting
• Delivers requisite training appropriately and provides effective training and support
• Administers policies and procedures in accordance with company, funder, and program standards
• Performs Quality Assurance and Quality Monitoring
• Other duties as assigned
