About The Position

The Project Director for the Recovery Community & Outreach Center (CUSE) is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of recovery services, peer leadership, and training programs. This role involves managing program staff, ensuring quality service delivery, and acting as a liaison with community partners. The position requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to supporting individuals affected by addiction and criminal justice issues.

Requirements

  • A Qualified Health Professional in good standing with appropriate licensing or certifying authority.
  • Minimum of one year of experience or satisfactory completion of a training program in the treatment of addiction.
  • Minimum 2 years of management/supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of community resources and existing network of behavioral health providers.
  • Commitment to working with diverse cultural backgrounds involved with the criminal/juvenile justice system, HIV/AIDS, or substance use.
  • Strong written and oral communication, project management, and supervisory skills.
  • Computer literacy in word processing, e-mail, internet research, and data entry.
  • Possess a valid NYS driver's license and a reliable vehicle.

Nice To Haves

  • Personal experience with recovery (3 years or more of sustained sobriety) and/or criminal justice issues preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day program operations, ensuring quality recovery services and peer leadership training.
  • Supervise program staff and peers, ensuring the accomplishment of their roles and required deliverables.
  • Review and approve timecards for staff and oneself on a daily basis.
  • Prepare annual employee performance reviews and coordinate personnel issues with the Associate Deputy Director.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of an outreach plan to recruit and retain individuals as members of the CUSE Center.
  • Oversee training and support of CUSE Center members.
  • Ensure the accomplishment of goals and deliverables required by NYS OASAS funding for all CUSE Center activities.
  • Act as chief liaison with community partners and linkage agencies, facilitating collaborative relationships.
  • Attend community stakeholder meetings and offer presentations on behalf of the CUSE Center.
  • Oversee project data collection and timely completion of program reports to funders.
  • Facilitate staff meetings and other program and community meetings as directed.
