Dallas College was awarded the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE) – AI‑Enabled Teaching & Learning Initiative, a four‑year transformational grant designed to build a sustainable, scalable model for integrating artificial intelligence and emerging technologies into teaching, learning, curriculum redesign, and workforce alignment. This is a grant‑funded position with funding through December 31, 2029. As one of the largest community colleges in Texas and a majority‑minority institution, Dallas College is uniquely positioned to lead large‑scale adoption of responsible, ethical, and effective AI‑enhanced instructional innovation. The Project Director will serve as the operational lead responsible for delivering all grant milestones, coordinating with internal and external partners, and ensuring long‑term sustainability of AI‑enabled teaching and learning systems. The Project Director reports to the Dean of the Academic Incubator and: Leads an institution‑wide, multi‑stakeholder initiative involving faculty, academic leaders, Workcred (subawardee), employer partners, and instructional support teams. Directly manages project personnel and coordinates cross‑functional teams to meet all FIPSE grant milestones. Ensures that all activities align with Dallas College’s strategic goals for innovation, equity, and student success.
