About The Position
The Project Development Engineer is responsible for developing and presenting projects that improve the safety, reliability, and profitability of the Billings Refinery. Projects will vary in size from $25K to $25MM. The primary role of the Development Engineer is to take projects through the front-end loading project management process from initial concept through the feasibility phase to determine the most viable option taking into consideration cost, schedule, and risk implications. After handing off to a Project Manager, continue to work to support the project team through detailed engineering, execution, commissioning, and project startup. The role must work closely with refinery site technical personnel including operations and HSE and, for larger projects, work collaboratively with the Central Refining Projects group. The position resides within Refinery Technical Services organization and reports directly to the Project Development Supervisor.
