About the position

The Project Developer/Sr. Energy Engineer will perform and lead existing building commissioning, supervise preliminary and detailed facility audits to identify Facility Improvement Measures (FIMs) and opportunities. The role involves participating in pre-sale activities, working closely with Sales to identify and technically qualify customer opportunities for energy efficiency. The engineer will work with Siemens operations teams and outside vendors to develop FIMs, analyze blueprints, and perform site surveys to identify mechanical, electrical, and controls systems to determine facility operational characteristics. Additionally, the position requires applying building energy simulation programs to develop energy, cooling, and heating load-building models using modeling software, performing industry-standard energy calculations, and developing design concepts and schematics concerning recommended FIMs. The engineer will also prepare financial models including Return on Investment (ROI), life cycle costs, and internal rate of return, and work collaboratively with the Digital Service Team on Smart Building solutions as part of Siemens Digitalization Strategy. The position requires approximately 10-20% travel and permits hybrid work.
