About The Position

We are seeking a Project Designer to support single-family residential projects. The ideal candidate is a thoughtful listener, a creative voice in the office, and motivated to grow into a fully contributing project architect. This person thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys engaging with all aspects of the design and documentation process, and is excited to help translate concepts into beautifully crafted, detail-driven residential architecture.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years of professional experience in architecture or related design fields
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD required
  • Strong SketchUp skills preferred
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic knowledge of construction systems, details, and civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering principles
  • Strong analytical, research, and technical writing skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management, and ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively
  • Self-motivated with a professional work ethic and ability to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Contribute as a project team member and develop toward a project architect role
  • Prepare design drawings, models, renderings, diagrams, and other visual tools
  • Conduct material and context research and clearly present findings
  • Assist with construction documents, shop drawing reviews, field inspections, and reports
  • Maintain project files, notes, and digital organizational systems
  • Participate in team discussions and provide design ideas
  • Sketch, diagram, and graphically communicate design concepts
  • Support planning, development, and maintenance tasks as needed
