About The Position

Join Casey’s in shaping a better future for our communities, guests, and team members as a Project Designer! In this role, you'll utilize design, modeling, and drafting programs to prepare construction drawings to support Casey's construction activities. The Project Designer provides support and management of their projects as required for successful completion.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in related field or equivalent work-related experience.
  • At least two years of relevant work experience.
  • Skilled with AutoCAD design suite.
  • Knowledge of state and local building codes, ordinances, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of architectural and engineering design and drafting via appropriate programs.
  • Reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and permit requirements.
  • Strong design and graphic sensibility.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships based on transparency and mutual respect.
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with 3D walkthrough and scanning technologies (e.g., NavVis Ivion, Matterport, or similar) is a plus.
  • Experience in site planning and construction documentation.
  • Project management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and designs detailed construction plans as required for the project or task assigned, utilizing drafting or modeling software.
  • Manages project status, information for reporting, external consultant teams, internal coordinated teams, and project schedule.
  • Develop conceptual site plans for remodel projects, and manage the remodel as-built deliverables and scanning process.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of site documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintains strong and open working relationships with the construction teams, estimating team, and Real Estate or M&A teams, as appropriate for the project.
  • Coordinate with multiple consultants to ensure timely project execution, and oversee consultant schedules and payment processes. 
  • Effectively utilizes third party 3D scanning technology and deliverables to produce and verify accurate construction plans.
  • Works with local and state officials developing plans to meet their specifications, as appropriate.
  • Performs other duties as required.
