Requirements

  • Must be a degreed Civil Engineer from an accredited university.
  • Must have passed the Engineer in Training exam.
  • PE preferred.
  • 3-7 years of related experience in Water Resources is required.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS and/or MicroStation experience is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with modeling/ design tools such as HEC-RAS, TR-20, and XPSWMM are preferred.
  • Understanding of federal, state, and local stormwater and floodplain permitting requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Water resources and storm water analysis modeling & design.
  • Preparing floodplain/floodway calculations and design.
  • Grading, site infrastructure and erosion control design.
  • Participating in watershed, environmental, and wetland projects for private and public sector clients.
  • Preparing reports, design plan sets, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Monitoring projects to ensure needed regulatory compliance, including the possibility of construction site inspections for compliance with erosion and sediment control regulations.
  • Assisting in water resources permitting.
