About The Position

STV is seeking a Project Delivery Manager within its Buildings division, New York, New York. The Project Delivery Manager oversee all aspects of project delivery of all projects within their supported Operating Group Area of responsibility. This role collaborates closely with project managers, project teams, Discipline Technical leads, finance, commercial and Operating Group Area leadership to ensure the successful execution and financial health of our projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture.
  • Professional Engineering or Registered Architecture License
  • 20+ years managing projects as well as a team

Responsibilities

  • Project Price and Contract Finalize project price reflecting contract terms and conditions for project pursuits based on provided scope, schedule and resource plan; ensure alignment with risk assessment, cost structure, client expectations, project management requirements. Assure business process compliance is followed for review and approval of price proposals. Provide support to project teams during negotiations with clients, leveraging business insights and strategic guidance. Partner with Legal Team to mitigate and prevent legal risks.
  • Project Set Up Oversee Project Managers in Area of responsibility during Project Setup: scope split, schedule, budget, sub-consultants, contracts, project manuals (PMP, PQP, HASP) and filing system. Ensure proper Project Setup for key staff: Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager (APM), Design Lead, Technical Lead and QA/QC personnel. Oversee Project Managers and Project Analysts in Area/Office of responsibility to ensure establishment of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) appropriate for the type of work.
  • Project Reviews Participate in Project Reviews in Area/Office of responsibility. Monitor and report on project performance (delivery and financial) based on risk, progress, quality and client feedback. Collaborate with Area Manager for lower risk projects to ensure performance achieves project goals and financial targets.
  • Project Execution Proactively assist PMs in Area of responsibility in the successful delivery of quality projects with high client satisfaction and anticipated financial results. Support project delivery, billing processes and collections to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions. Ensure change order processes align with initial project requirements and mitigate risks associated with scope changes. Track and follow up on project review action items to closure and engage in resolving billing issues with clients as needed. Monitor and optimize resource allocation across all projects within the supported Operating Group Area of responsibility, ensuring efficiency and adherence to project timeliness. Work closely with Area Manager and Discipline leads. Promote technical quality across all Disciplines.
  • Discipline Development Manage and mentor all Project Managers in Area of responsibility. Work with Area Manager and the Project Delivery Director on office hiring based on national work sharing considerations. Collaborate with Area Manager, Market Sector Leaders, and with other Discipline Leads for all Area planning, marketing, strategy, and execution initiatives. Lead capture and sharing of discipline knowledge and lessons learned to support continued group learning. Work with the Area Managers and the other Area Practice Leads on training and organizational policies and growing discipline size and expertise across all offices within the Buildings Group.
  • Project Management Manage projects in Area of responsibility, maintaining a strong utilization rate.
